Challenge
Many families can’t afford to buy basic school essentials for students to use. This means many students struggle to keep up with daily school life. This negatively impacts individual development – which in turn can cause low morale and frustration.
Solution
Working with a number of partners, Onechild Ghana has provided hundreds of student packs containing essential supplies such as books, dictionaries, mathematical sets, paper, pens and individual calculators.
Impact
Students receiving these packs are now able to learn more effectively. These essential educational supplies have enabled some of the world’s most disadvantaged children to focus on their studies – and is one less thing for them to worry about. This has also provided a huge relief to families who no longer have to find the money to pay for these items.
